Our recent trip to Croatia included a major benefit - 1.5 days in Dublin! Our Aer Lingus flight was significantly cheaper than all others, and having a short intro into Europe to catch up on sleep allowed for our Croatia days to be maximized. Take a look at what Sam and I did in Dublin!
Our home was was Point A Hotel, situated within walking distances of many popular destinations. It had very small rooms, but did the job and was nice and quiet during our late-morning nap and full night sleep. We had a few highlights during our short stint in Dublin...
- Guinness Storehouse - I booked us the ticket where you can learn to pour your own Guinness and it comes with another drink at the rooftop bar.
- Breakfast at One Society - See yummy pic of my order below. This was a marvelous spot! We also had a tasty lunch at Grano.
- Book of Kells - Also a good idea to book in advance. The book itself isn't terribly exciting, but the library is beautiful.
- Walking around Trinity College and St. Patricks.
- Kilmainham Gaol: Book in advance! This was a tour my mom and I had missed out on during our previous Dublin trip because we couldn't get day-of tickets.
This post flew by just as quick as our days in Dublin did. Luckily we had 7 more days of vacation in Croatia, a country neither Sam nor I had ever been to!
