After checking in, we waited a bit before our group color was called. Then we got into the back of our truck with two benches facing out, strapped ourselves in with everyone else, and were off down the road. After about ten minutes we got off the main road to the entrance of the sandy road that would take us to the beginning of the slot canyon. Everyone got instructions on what to do and what not to do while in the slot canyon before heading into the narrow entrance. It was so cool right off the bat!

We made our way through the slot canyon to the other end where we gathered everyone before heading back the way we came. There were so many tour groups - I can see how people could get claustrophobic. After getting back out the way we came, we all jumped back on the truck and went back to the office. Overall, I loved the tour of the slot canyon. I would definitely recommend it - tours aren't too expensive and you can't go without a guide.
After giving our tour guide a tour of our Jucy, we made a sandwich and jumped back in the car to get to our next destination - Zion National Park. The drive wasn't too long, only about 2.5 hours and we had made it to the entrance.
The drive in was beautiful - we came in through the East Entrance - and we took every chance we could get to take pictures along the way before making to the Zion Canyon Visitor Center.

We asked about the various trails and the ranger helped us decide on the Lower and Upper Emerald Pools trails and the Kayenta Trail (total about 2.6 miles).
We jumped on the bus at the Visitor Center and took it to the Zion Lodge stop before starting our hike. The end of the Upper Emerald Pools trail took us to a small waterfall at the top where we ate some snacks and Maddie played around the boulders.

Then we headed back to meet the Kayenta trail down to The Grotto bus stop. Instead of taking the bus, we decided to take the Grotto Trail back to the Zion Lodge.
We took a break in some of the chairs outside the lodge before jumping back on the bus to the Visitor Center. Maddie and I jumped in our Jucy and drove the extremely short distance to the Zion Canyon Campground RV Resort.
The campsite overlooked the mountains - it was perfect. We made dinner and popped up our Jucy before heading to bed.
